9 Minute Therapy: Beating Panic Attacks

9 Minute Therapy: Beating Panic Attacks

Panic really attacks aren’t much fun, to put it mildly. But they are something which an awful lot of people experience at some point in their lives - and they can be beaten.

After all, feeling a sense of panic comes from your mind - and how it is perceiving what’s going on around you. And your mind can be trained - just as your body, through things like breathing exercise, can be put into a calmer state and stress responses switched off.

And, frankly, it’s not surprising if our stress levels are elevated these days.

To soothe our minds in these frazzled times, we’re launching a new series of 9 Minute Therapies - with fabulous psychotherapist, Anna Mathur. Anna combines no-nonsense practical wisdom with real warmth and empathy.

Across the series we’ll be looking at subjects like dating, loneliness, imposter syndrome, Sunday evening dread and parental guilt. But all with very positive take-outs!

To kick off, Anna has a very candid chat with Tim Samuels about panic - including:

  • What to do if you feel a panic attack coming on

  • How to recognise the triggers for anxiety

  • Learning how to deal with anxiety in everyday situations

Relax into this short therapy session…
